Laricina: Carbonate SAGD test 'encouraging'
Laricina Energy Ltd., Calgary, reported “encouraging” production test results at its Saleski pilot in the Athabasca region of Alberta, the first steam-assisted gravity drainage project in the Upper Devonian Grosmont carbonate.
Total believes kill operation has stopped Elgin gas leak
Total UK Ltd. reported a well intervention operation stopped the G4 well natural gas leak on the Elgin complex in the UK North Sea within 12 hr of when workers started pumping heavy mud into the well.
Petrobank to boost cold heavy oil output
Petrobank Energy & Resources Ltd., Calgary, has adjusted its 2012 development plans for heavy oil projects in Canada toward cold production, in one case to prepare the reservoir for its proprietary toe-to-heal air injection (THAI) process.
Total starts well intervention on Elgin gas leak in North Sea
Total UK Ltd. said it started the planned well intervention operation to stop the natural gas leak from the G4 well on the Elgin complex in the North Sea on May 15.
Diamond Offshore orders drillship, sells jack ups
Diamond Offshore Drilling Inc. ordered a $655 million ultradeepwater drillship from Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. with delivery scheduled for fourth-quarter 2014.

June 2011: Nomad completes feasibility study and field test of ASP Flood using reservoir modeling, core sample studies and tracer dye injections to optimize chemical program.

May 2011: Nomad Energy begins producing southern section of heavy EOR project. Nomad energy was integral part of modeling, planning and execution of new drilling and completion program.

March 2011: Nomad Energy completes installation of new distributive temperature fiber optic monitoring system for a heavy oil steam flood project. Fiber Optic allows real time monitoring of thousands of instant data points simultaneously and continuously.

Dec 2010: The American Oil and Gas Reporter publishes article on emerging oil & and gas services companies featuring Nomad Energy for December 2011 publication.

Aug 2010: Nomad Energy wins international research grant and initiates 1 year seismic well stimulation R&D program.

July 2010: Nomad secures support services contract for deep water spar platform work in the Gulf of Mexico.

June 2010: Nomad Energy patents innovative shallow heavy oil artificial lift system. First generation system is finishing 3rd phase of a durability and feasibility study.

May 2010: Nomad develops 22 well drilling program utilizing in-house services Including: engineering services, geological & geophysical studies, preliminary drill packages, sourcing & operations of Rig's, tools, mud programs, cementing programs, and directional services. Write and manage AFE's, permitting and compliance.

May 2010: Nomad develops variable frequency drive with phase converting technologies. Allowed the operator to have precision and speed control of pumping units operating on single phase power supplies without loss of torque on electric motor driven systems.
